In April 2022 we opened a supported living accommodation in Harrow. Supported living is for people who may need some help day-to day but would like to live in their own home. In our supported living home individuals are tenants in their own flat. They choose how much support and/or care they require. Individuals are treated like tenants and would have responsibilities of tenants such as paying bills. They would have the option to share like housemates or live on their own.

Supported living suits individuals who would like to be more independent and have tenant responsibilities. Our supported living allows individuals to have responsibilities, live independent whilst still having access to support as and when needed.

The local council may help to pay for pay supported living cost if the person has less than £23,250 in savings/assets. They would need to have a free financial assessment completed by the council. The financial assessment will take into consideration the following:

• earnings

• pensions

• benefits (including Attendance Allowance or PIP)

• savings

• property (including overseas property)

The amount of care hours they are provided with would depend on the persons initial assessment completed. We will consider their needs and strengths. It may be that they need 24 hours care 7 days a week or they may just need care during specific activities. Their price of supported living cost will be individualised to person.

All flats inside the supported living are standardised to include a bedroom/living area, kitchenette, and shower room. The property itself contains a communal lounge, kitchen, and garden.
